If you are not sure which provider your jumpbook uses, please login to your jumpbooks.com account and click the My Bookshelf link towards the top of the page to view all of your jumpbook titles. Please note the format of each title. If your jumpbook format says Copia, please choose the option, "Jumpbooks provided by Copia". If your jumpbook format says Vitalsource, please choose the option, "Jumpbooks provided by Vitalsource".

What is my Copia username and password?

Please use the same username and password you use to login to your jumpbooks.com account to login to Copia.

What is a Jumpbook?

Jumpbooks are textbooks with enhanced functionality that are available in digital format. Jumpbooks are purchased at your local bookstore and delivered electronically to your computer via Jumpbooks.com. You save money with the low prices and gain functionality with the enhanced features Jumpbooks offers. You have the ability to search the entire text for a word or phrase, add notes and comments, create your own bookmarks and more.

Can I download my jumpbook to my computer?

Yes. You can download and read your Jumpbook using the Copia Class application. This means you may login to your account from your computer, Apple iPad or Android device to read your book. Once the book has been downloaded to your device, you can even read it offline

What do I need in order to use my Jumpbook(s)?

A computer that meets the browser or system requirements below.

  • A high-speed Internet connection.
  • A Mac computer or PC, an Apple iPad or Android device.
  • An account on Jumpbooks.com. Register here.
  • The receipt number and access code found on your bookstore sales receipt.

Can I give my Jumpbook to others?

Jumpbooks are designed to be downloaded by a single user, but most can be downloaded to more than one device.

How long can I keep my Jumpbook?

Once you have purchased your book, you will own it and will not have to return it. Some books will expire after a certain period of time; however such time limits will be clarified at the time of purchase.

Yes, once you have downloaded it to your device.

Can I return my Jumpbook for a refund?

You may return a non-accessed Jumpbook by bringing your original sales receipt to the bookstore where you originally purchased it (unless otherwise noted in the bookstore’s return policy). Jumpbooks provided by Copia are not eligible for a refund if they've been accessed. Accessed means you've added the title to your jumpbooks.com account and clicked the access button to begin reading your book.

Can I use my Jumpbook on my iPhone, iPad, Android, or other mobile device?

You can read your Jumpbooks provided by Copia on supported mobile devices: Android mobile devices and iPads. You will need to download a free application. The Copia Class App for iPad is available through the App Store. The Copia Class App for Android devices is available through the Android Marketplace.

Getting error that says 'No Redemption Code in Provider response'.

Same solution applies if it is asking for your Copia password.

The reason you are experiencing this problem is because your Jumpbooks account is no longer syncing up with your Copia account. Jumpbooks automatically creates a Copia account when you first access your book. If the password changes in Jumpbooks or Copia and the passwords no longer match, Jumpbooks will not be able to automatically log you in to Copia.

Jumpbooks passwords can be changed by logging into your account and clicking the My Account tab. You can change your Copia password by following similar steps after logging in to the Copia app.

I accessed a book but don't see my other books.

This may be a situation where you purchased multiple books but only clicked the access button for one of the books in your Jumpbooks.com bookshelf. All purchased titles must be accessed on Jumpbooks.com before they are visible in Copia. If you do not see your book in Copia, please login to Jumpbooks.com and click the access button next to your missing book.

It won't accept my receipt number and access code.

The First thing to keep in mind is that the receipt number and access code can only be used once. If you've already used the receipt number and access code to add the book to your account, then the book(s) should already be on your account. You may need to click the My Bookshelf link to see them.

If the site is not accepting your access code and receipt number, most likely it is because the wrong receipt number is being entered. The access code should be a 6-digit number; however, the receipt number could be a combination of letters and numbers, and in some cases may include a dash. Also be aware that zeroes the capital letter “O” can be confused.

I can't find my access code.

The access code is a 6-digit number that should be located on your receipt. If you purchased your book online, you should have received an email with both your receipt number and your access code. If you did not receive this email, please check your Spam folder to make sure the email is not there. If you still cannot find your access code, please contact the store from which you purchased your book. They should be able to look up your purchase and provide you with the access number you need.

I accidentally created my account with the wrong email address.

If you have not clicked the access button yet to begin reading your book, you can contact help@jumpbooks.com and jumpbooks support can correct the email address for you. If you've already clicked the access button, please continue to use the incorrect email address to login and read your book. You should create a new account with the correct email address for any future purchases.

If you experience any problems accessing your book after you've changed your email address, this is most likely a problem with your Jumpbooks.com account not syncing up with your Copia account. Jumpbooks automatically creates a Copia account when you first access your book. If the username or password changes in Jumpbooks or Copia, the login information will no longer match between both systems. You will need to contact help@jumpbooks.com to get this corrected.

You can find several video tutorials to go over the many features provided by Vitalsource. Please ignore any chapter that discusses creating an account or redeeming your book. When accessing your book from Jumpbooks.com, Jumpbooks will automatically create an account for you using the same username and password affiliated with your Jumpbooks.com account. Jumpbooks will also automatically redeem your book to begin reading when you click the access button on your Jumpbooks.com bookshelf.

No, Your jumpbook is tied directly to your online jumpbooks account and read through Vitalsource's online reader. This means you may login to your account from any computer, laptop, apple, or android device to read your book. Can I give my Jumpbook to others?

Jumpbooks are tied to a single online account. It is strongly recommended that you do not share your account information with anyone other than yourself. If purchasing a jumpbook as a gift, please gift the access code and receipt number found on the purchase receipt. The gift recipient can then create their own Jumpbooks.com account and use the access code and receipt number to add the gifted purchase to their account.

How long can I keep my Jumpbook?

All Jumpbook titles provided by Vitalsource will expire. The Jumpbook expiration date can be located on the back of each Jumpbook tag in the bookstore. The expiration time does not begin until the moment you access your Jumpbook to begin reading. The number of days left in your subscription shows in both your Vitalsource bookshelf and your Jumpbooks bookshelf once the title has been accessed.

Can I return my Jumpbook for a refund?

You may return a non-accessed Jumpbook by bringing your original sales receipt to the bookstore where you originally purchased it (unless otherwise noted in the bookstore’s return policy).

Jumpbooks provided by Vitalsource are eligible for a refund IF the following conditions have been met.

  1. It has been less than 14 days since the book has been accessed from your Jumpbooks.com bookshelf.
  2. If you HAVE NOT revealed the code for any online resource supplied with the ebook. If your book includes access to an eResource, click here for details on how to access the eResource.

Can I use my Jumpbook on my iPhone, iPad, Android, or other mobile device?

Yes, you can read your Jumpbooks provided by Vitalsource on supported mobile devices using the Vitalsource Bookshelf app. Check to see which devices support the Vitalsource Bookshelf App.

Getting message that says, "We're Sorry! This title is no longer available through the ebook Provider."

Getting message that says, "We're Sorry! There was a problem accessing your content. BasketID: ######."

We are currently transitioning all CourseSmart provided books over to Vitalsource. If you are seeing this message, it is likely that your book is not available through Vitalsource and must be read directly through CourseSmart's website. Please go to www.coursesmart.com and login using the same email address and password you use to login to jumpbooks.com. You should then see your book(s) with a large button that says Read Now. Clicking the Read Now button will allow you to begin reading your book.

If you do not see your book after logging in to www.coursesmart.com, click the "My Bookshelf" link towards the top of the www.coursesmart.com screen.

If you continue to have problems accessing your book, please contact help@jumpbooks.com for assistance.

Getting error that says 'No Redemption Code in Provider response'.

Same solution applies if it is asking for your Vitalsource password.

The reason you are experiencing this problem is because your jumpbooks account is no longer syncing up with your Vitalsource account. Jumpbooks automatically creates a Vitalsource account when you first access your book. If the password changes in Jumpbooks or Vitalsource, the passwords no longer match up between both systems and Jumpbooks will not be able to automatically log you in to Vitalsource to read your book. We need you to do the following steps to sync up your accounts.

  1. Please go to bookshelf.vitalsource.com and click on the Forgot Password link.

  2. Enter your Jumpbooks Account email address and click the Submit Button. This will email you a new password.

  3. Click the link in the email you receive from Vitalsource to reset your password and update your account with a new password. Make sure you update your Vitalsource password to be the same as your Jumpbooks password. If you know your jumpbooks.com password, please move on to step 4. If you do not know your jumpbooks.com password, please read the following two paragraphs.

    • If you are able to login to your jumpbooks account but do not know your password, please skip to the next paragraph. If you are NOT able to login to jumpbooks.com and do not know your password, please keep reading. If you do not know your jumpbooks.com password, open jumpbooks.com in a new tab or window and click the LOST PASSWORD link below the member login fields. This will require you to enter your email address so that a new password can be emailed to you. I strongly recommend logging in with this new password and then changing it to something more user friendly that you will be able to remember.

    • To change your Jumpbooks.com password, log in to your jumpbooks.com account and click on the MY ACCOUNT link towards the top of the screen. This will take you to the My Account page. Now click on the CHANGE PASSWORD link just above your account information. This will take you to the Change Your Password screen where you may change your password to anything you would like. Now that your jumpbooks.com password is set to something you can easily remember, close out of jumpbooks.com and go back to your tab or window containing bookshelf.vitalsource.com (step 5). Please proceed to step 4.

  4. Now that the password has been changed, sign out of the Vitalsource site and log back in to your Jumpbooks.com account. You should now be able to click the access button to read your book.
